Community

Built through
open collaboration.

Oniro is developed by a growing ecosystem of technology companies, research organizations, developers, and open source contributors working together through transparent governance at the Eclipse Foundation.

Open Collaboration

Oniro is developed through a collaborative model in which all participants — from large technology companies to individual contributors — engage through the same open processes. Technical decisions are made transparently, contributions are reviewed openly, and the direction of the platform reflects the collective input of the entire community.

This model is sustained by the Eclipse Foundation's governance framework, which provides the structure, processes, and legal infrastructure needed to support long-term, vendor-neutral collaboration at scale. The Eclipse Foundation has governed open source projects for over two decades and brings that experience to the Oniro ecosystem.
